Summer Food Service Program (SFSP)
During the school year, free and reduced price school meals help to ensure that participating children have access to at least one nutritious meal on days that school is in session. More than 180,000 children across Northwest NC participate in the these school meal programs. During the weeks that schools are closed for summer, most of these children lose access to this vital souces of nutritional support. Your organzation can help.

Second Harvest Food Bank is a proud Summer Food Service Program sponsor. To learn more about partnering with us to host a summer meals site, e-mail Daisy Rodriguez, our Director or Childhood Hunger Programs or call her at 336.784.5770.

GUIDANCE ON IMMIGRATION ISSUES
Food is a basic human need, and ensuring access to adequate food is an obligation of any  responsible and  compassionate society. As we work together in our communities to end  hunger, we have a responsibility to help any neighbor in need, regardless of race, religion, citizenship, disability, age, gender identity, sexual orientation, or any other criteria. As supplement to non-discrimination guidelines for our network, Feeding America has provided the following FAQ addressing immigration.
